First robot in the world that has human citizenship

In October 2017, Sophia became a Saudi Arabian citizen, the first robot to receive citizenship of any country. When talking to the stage to announce her new status, Sophia says:
“She was very honored and proud for this unique distinction.”

The robot was created by David Hanson, the founder of Hong Kong based Hanson robotics. Sophia robot was activated on February 14, 2016. Sophia robot has visited the 65 countries.

Sophia is a stunning human like robot that can act and behave as common people. The purpose of this robot is to learn and search about education, entertainment, technology and help in decision making. Sophia says:

“That robotics can perform many tasks which can be dangerous for human, like working in a radioactive environment.”

Sophia imitates human gestures and facial expression and is able to answer certain questions and to make simple conversations on predefined topics.Sophia has given many interviews in different countries.

The actual Sophia robot is not for sale and the greatest weakness of Sophia robot is respond time which makes it appear stupid.

In 2016 Cereproc first created the speaking voice of Sophia by training a machine learning model on many hours of voice recordings by development team members.

 Sophia says:

“I am able to sing and thanks to new artificial intelligence voice for this”
