Robots Working as Waiters in Chinese Restaurant

Some Chinese restaurants are replacing human waiters with robot.They are cheaper than human waiter staff and robot waiters seem to have taken off in china because of their fun rather than for their efficiency.

Customers are not just focused on the food, they also want a fun experience. Consumers have different expectations.

After customers select from the menu, robots portion out and dispense ingredients into robot-works, which cook the food in three minutes or less. People love to be served by robotic waiters. The best thing about robots is that they never get tired and can work on certain tasks but humans get tired.

Robots still require humans to put the dish on its tray and input the commands for the robot to work. If the technology is more advanced, the robot can pick up the dishes automatically and deliver them on its own, then it will truly be more efficient and impressive.

In Yiwu, Zhejiang a province of China, two reobots Little blue and Little peach work as waiters in a restaurant. They serve food to customers with the magnetic track and say:

“Here’re your meals, please enjoy it”.

They welcome people as waiter and try to entertain them.

Robots walk on a magnetic track and cannot run a whole restaurant that’s why humans are still needed. Robots can entertain the people but cannot replace humans.
